Solar power for mining

Adding renewable energy to mining power grids driven by conventional diesel generators reduces operating costs and thereby helps mining companies weather adverse events like load shedding and drops in commodity prices. By fixing energy costs at a low level, our solar hybrid solutions also increases profitability during the next upturn in the commodity cycle.

Based on its proprietary, transportable solar generators, we can offer power for everything from early-stage exploration camps all the way up to multi-MW systems to power full-scale production facilities at mines and quarries. Depending on the size and shape of the load curve, solar shares up to 40% can be achieved with solar-diesel hybrid systems. If required, lithium battery storage can be included for peak shaving and frequency regulation, thereby further increasing solar shares, system stability and reliability.
